Lately, the boot-up sequence of Win98 takes an EXTREMELY long time. Specifically, the Windows 98 logo screen stays on 'forever' ( >> 15 sec!). Is there a setting that got changed on me?

what's up? did you recently have dsl installed? how about a network interface card? What was the last thing changed on the pc before this slow boot started occuring? did you install an anti-virus program. Hit the Esc key while booting. This action will remove the windows 98 screen (temporarily) so you can see any messages during the boot sequence. need more details!

You're right, I never thought of it: before the slow-down started I installed an ISDN network card. Will this do it? If so, is there a way around it?
Thanks a lot.
