It can be done if a person is wishing to spend a lot of time doing it. All that needs to be done is change the target of the icons in Properties.
Keep in mind that Notepad is not a word processor but a text editor, gives a lot of machine language when opening Word's .doc files. Wordpad can open .doc files.
Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement

thanks bert,
but changing the target of the icons will open word instead of opening note, and will open note instead of opening word,...
i don't wanna do that, i wanna to open them at the same time (Executing one of them will Execute the other one, and we'll find both of them [OPENED])
seems a silly thing to do, but i just wanna know how to do it, so then i can connect any other two programs together

Hi Dazz
Normally wouldn't answer on something like this EXCEPT !! a friend of mine does the same thing as you request.
He has written a VB prog/script to do it. Now I would ask him but he's on his jollies at the mo. If you don't get a answer by asking in the scripting section I'll certainly ask him when he gets back (2 weeks) and paste the 'answer'
Let me know
Jase
If at first you don't succeed, then you probably shouldn't skydive!

AND of course i'll ask all people i know how to do it...
THANKS A LOT

Perhaps a program launcher in the mean time.
http://home.comcast.net/~bryconow/BasicSetup.zip (http://www.geocities.com/gallus/>http://www.geocities.com/gallus/)
Right click on the link and select 'Save target as' to download it.
The program is named Macro Runner
"It's a simple software. There's nothing powerfull, but it aims for users who just want a simple task: run more than one application with one mouse click without loading a huge software!! You can configure two macros with up to 7 applications each. Each macro has its own executable (28Kb), so you don't need to run the main software!! "
Let me know once you got it or that you do not intend to get it so I can take it off of my site.

I removed the program from my webpage. If you change your mind let me know and I'll put it back up.

To add to that...
Using the afore mentioned examples, is it possible to have it so when you exit MS Word, that Notepad would close too, or vice versa, Word closes if Notepad does?
I did find one thing that kinda works. You could use a batch file. As archaeic as that may sound.
On mine it looks something like this:
Start Winword.exe
Start Notepad.exe
Exit
You may or may not need to add the path. I didn't need to. If you do, you'll probably need to use DOS 8.3 naming.
Always glad to help!
