For some time, the following warning/error message has been displaying following the Win95 splash screen display:
"There is not enough memory to load the registry, or the registry is corrupted. Some devices may not function properly."
I have 32mb of RAM. Not great, I know, but other than IE 4.x, some games and some Internet Instant Messaging applications, not much else. No sw suites or other large apps. I've run the regclean utility, but no errors were detected. The RAM itself seems to be OK, though not totally sure of this.
The only other thing I can think of is some kind of entry or other program that might be hogging too much memory.
If anyone has had this problem or has a clue how to remedy this short of reloading the system, I'd sure be interested in hearing about it. Thanks!
