Using the reg tweaks from this site, I've disabled, (or turned off), all of tabs in "internet options" under Tools in IE.
If a user clicks on "privacy report" under View, (which I don't want user access to anyway...), they can click on the settings button and have instant access to -ALL- of the internet options.
How do I stop this?
FIYS,
Before I wrote this reply I tested this myself and it works.
Use this tweak (Click) Internet Explorer Control Panel Restrictions (Part 2) (http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php?id=797><font) to disable the Privacy Tab in Tools/Internet Options.
When it is disabled and you click on Privacy Report under the View Menu, you will still see the Privacy Report but when you click on Settings you will get an applet that tells you the feature has been disabled by the system administrator. Internet Options does not show.
You can also download a free trial of (Click) Tweak Manager (http://www.winguides.com/tweak/?isplugin><font) which can do the tweak automatically for you.
Good luck,

EDIT: Disabling Privacy Settings itself did not stop Internet Options from appearing on my WinMe computer when I clicked on View/Privacy Report/Settings.
Edited by Nana on 07/19/03 14:41.
