I have a Gateway g6 350 Pentium 2 that I'm am trying to get running again.
It was running windows 98 on a 6 gig hard drive, when it crashed.
I set the bios to boot from cdrom and began loading windows 2000. I deleted the old operating system and wiped the hard disk clean. My problem is that after windows 2000 loads and copies all
the files and reboots, it starts the process to load windows 2000 all over again.
If I remove the instalation disk, I get a boot failure message, and it ask me to reinstall the boot disk.
I'm just trying to get this running for the experience, am I over looking something?
Are there specific bios settings that I need to set?
I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks Rick
