Does any body know how to stop an ISP from altering windows settings and how I put them right.

I subscribed to Libertysurf.co.uk and iis installation has altered my windows settings.

It changed the spinning windows log but I changed that back but when it is running it takes over the top half inch of my monitor on all programs.Even when Im using Excel etc they open up half an inch down the screen. Using restore/move etc doesnt work. Are there any registry entries that can be altered that can hide the liberty bar that appears or say open behind windows or restore the size of windows

TIA

Robin

I had this same problem, recently. There's an IE-specific fix through the Enhancements link on the RegEdit homepage. That didn't help me, though.
See the discusssion entitled "explorer window location." I found a fix on my own and, there have been no nasty consequences (it's in my May 20 submission). But, understand that I'm no hard-core registry hacker so, I offer this solution as-is, so to speak.
