does anyone know of a program that will allow me to completly uninstall programs that do not show up on add/remove programs? need a freeware program (or a functional shareware)

If the programs don't show up in add remove programs then they are most likely developed by individuals who can put the files anywhere on the drive and can add any registry entry they want.
The only reliable way of uninstalling these utilities is to use an install monitor like inctrl5 and then undo the changes that were made.

groan...i was afraid of that. i seem to recall something that you could drag and drop a process from task manager and it would scan disk/registry for any and all files/entries associated with what was running, then allow you to pick and choose which ones to destroy.... can't remember it/ find it though....it might've been simply a hallucenation on my part...:)
