Hi, how's everyone. Have a ques,

Whew! After a gruelling search, finally found it:

Turns out the reg tweak was only half of the picture, setting these two during a RC session did the trick:

set allowremovablemedia = TRUE
set allowallpaths = TRUE

That gave me unrestricted access to everything(local drives and removable media).

Just for those who might be having the same problem.
