Regedit Problems... (WXP-Pro)

I can't access regedit, it gives me an error... "Registry
editing has been disabled by your administrator" How this
happened, don't know... Regedit worked fine before I
updated windows and then restarted the computer, and went
to regedit and nothing but the error... I'm the only one
who uses the computer... So anyone please help...

Go to start > run and type gpedit.msc

In the user configuration section select administrative templates and then system. There is an option there to Prevent access to registry editing tools. See if this is enabled.

Thx it worked... The setting was set to Not Configured. I just set to disabled... Thx again...
