View Full Version : Applications don't start (W2K)

When I double click on a file to start it (like Outlook Express), I get this message:

Cannot find the file 'C:\....' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.

This happens with all apllication (except IE and Kerio Firewall). The same thing doesn't happen when I open a psd file. Photoshop opens and works correctly. I went to Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop 7.0/photoshop.exe and tried to open it, getting the same message. The same happens for all other applications.

I would run a virus scanner immediately. There are a few free ones mentioned in this post by Gordon7000:
