When I try and access some of the "help" sections of various programs the following error message comes up "winhlp32.exe has generated an error and will be shut down" or some thing to that effect.
I tried to download the latest patch from the Microsoft website, service pack 3, thinking it might help, and when it went to install it got almost all the way through and then that error message came up and the system reboots by itself.
I do not have the system disk or I would do a reinstall so I am kind of stuck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
