Is there a command line option that will allow me to access/edit a registry file 'not native' to the current installation of Windows on the machine I am using to run regedit?
Essentially I have a large backup of the total files of a Windows98SE installation or C: drive, on my machine and I wish to get at the Outlook Express info stored within so that I may export this across to a fresh install to save myslef the bother of setting up numerous email accounts by hand.
I can't export from outlook because the information is now held as a large Dir structure on a my HD, it is not actally part of a running Win98SE installation any more.
I hope you got the dirft of that. It essentially involved salvaging all the files in a non booting Win98SE installation by piggybacking the HD and copying all the files of it to a Dir on another machine (mine).
I hope you have the knowledge to at least point me in the direction of a registry zen master who can help impart necessary wisdom.
Thanx
