Try this...Open up My Computer then the "Tools" Menu and select "Folder Options" select the "View" tab. Scroll down the list and there should be a check-box for "Show Control Panel in My Computer"

Umm...Where's the "Any" key??

You can add certain things. What exactly do you want to add ?

1. Open up your registry and go here:-
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{2559a1f6-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}

In the right side
Double-click (Default) and type TweakUI then click "OK"

In the left side
right-click the Key "{2559a1f6-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0}
and choose "New" "Key"
and call this new Key
DefaultIcon

In the left side
Highlight "DefaultIcon"

In the right side
Double-click (Default) and point it to the icon of your choice. ( Probably: C:\Program Files\tweakui.exe,0 )

In the left side double-click "Instance"
Highlight InitPropertyBag

In the right side
Make and/or double-click the String Value Command and type TweakUi
Make and/or double-click the String Value Param1 and type the address of TweakUI ( Probably: C:\Program Files\tweakui.exe )

Then go back to the Key {2559a1f6-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0} highlight it and then right-click it and choose "Rename"
Don't however rename it just put your cursor over the highlighted text, right-click and choose "copy".
Then make your way here:-
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace
with "NameSpace" highlighted, right-click it and choose "New" "Key" and right-click within the box and choose "paste".
================================================== ===
Thats all there is to it

Doesn't tweakui install itself into the Control Panel by default?

I believe he wants it in "My Computer" in the area next to "Control Panel" but I could be wrong.

It does in 9x (have it on my Win98 laptop) but not in XP. In XP it installs in Programs. Just tried it./images/forums/icons/smile.gif

Thanks Tom. I always delete it from the CP after I install it so I wasn't sure.
