CD-burner interfering with Network adapter? (W98)

I have just installed a Samsung SW-248FE CD-RW. After rebooting my internet cable connection stopped working. I have checked the network adapter (an Intel PRO 100+) and it seems to be working fine according to windows. I have tried to disable the CD-burner, but my connection is still dead. There is a microscopic chance that the problem occured with my ISP just as i installed the Cd-burner...

If not, what could be causing this?

prob not. are you getting an ip address? please be more descriptive of the problem your having with the network card

Thank you. It's working now. I guess it had something to do with my ISP...
