hello,
I ran a scan on norton and it came up with the backdoor alert fro the file wanmpsvc.exe. I clicked ok and then i can not open any .exe file... it tells me there are files missing. I cant run ANYTHING I have deleted all the processes off my computer which i know are not meant to be there apart from NPROTECT.exe and NAVAPSVC.exe because they wont let me.
I ran the recovery disk that came with my computer... and now I get this on promt:
"NTLDR is compressed
press ctrl-alt-delete to restart"
I have restarted on many occasions but the same message keeps coming up. I then ran the boot disk again, but still no luck.
When I press f8 on start up.. it asks me where i want to boot from:
Removable Dev (what is that?)
Harddrive
CD ROM
I have tried all three with no luck =(
