HELP! (W98)

Please help me! I accidentally deleted my registry editor and I can't get it back. Is there any way I can get another copy?PLEASE REPLY

Go to Start, Run, and type in sfc and press Enter. That is System File Checker and it should find regedit missing and prompt to replace it. Have you Win98 CD at hand.

Which version of 98?

Thanks, but this did not work. I have Winows 98 Second Edition. I still have the installation disk. The System File Checker does not find any files missing, but when I go into Find and type in regedit, nothing appears except for the log which can only be opened with regedit.

Use SFC again but select to extract one file.

You want regedit.exe

I am using Win98FE and found it in
Cabinet WIN98_42.CAB

It belongs in the C:\Windows folder
