Thanks for the suggestion. But, when I downloaded and installed Viddi Player, a necessary driver was missing. Going to the support forum, I learned that RealOne MUST be installed for Viddi to function. That was never mentioned in the pre-download info. I uninstalled and deleted. No matter how good Vidda might be, on principal I don't want RealOne spyware in my system.

Sorry about that - I knew this - but did not think of it when I posted. I guess in part RealPlayer have become one of those taken for granted accessories on my computer. The Viddi Player <http://radio.unitednerds.com/> do require RealPlayer, I have yet to try if it will work with the older
version (se info below).
I noticed some people in <alt.comp.freeware> recommended Jetaudio as good alternative to RealPlayer
<http://www.jetaudio.com/>.
See item #1 in the Langalist of April 28 d.y. about that:
<http://www.langa com/newsletters/2003/2003-04-28.htm>
Alternatively, some report the old (less intrusive) RealPlayer 8 works well.
Langalist of May 01 have an item about this alternative, see item #7) in:
<http://www.langa.com/newsletters/2003/2003-05-01.htm>
-Don't know if this will work the said Viddi player or not though.
It can be found here:
