I am running a two computer network right now, both XP Pro machines are mine. Next year however two other users will be joining the network, and I dont want them to have access to my folders that are shared on the network.
I've gone to the security tab on the shared folders, and I can only add users from the machine I'm on. In other words, I can't add my desktop account to my laptop's shares, and I can't add my laptop acct to my desktop's shares. The "find locations" box only displays the computer I'm on. I think it may have to do w/ the fact that the computers aren't part of a domain, but they are part of the same workgroup. Can anyone help!? Thanks in advance!
