I'm a complete beginner in this, i just bought a laptop, had it 3 weeks, made the mistake of thinking i didn't need backups just yet ! Couldn't boot laptop, kept looping round to rebooting even in safe mode ended up re installing win xp pro into different directory. All my data is in a My Documents folder in an old original account. I can see the folder in internet explorer but get "access denied" even though i'm logged on as administrator. I though administrator was God ?
Can i do anything tyo get at old directories,
