How do you backup the registry?
1) Use ERUNT</font color=red> (http://home.t-online.de/home/lars.hederer/erunt/><font), the best registry backup utility available (and it's free!!!).
OR
2) Open Regedit, click on file, export, put a chack mark in "ALL" and save it.

For Win98 type this in a command window:
scanreg /backup
To restore the backup copy type:
scanreg /restore

The preceding was from the "For What It's Worth" files, which by definition may be worthless. Take with a grain or ten of salt.
