Hello Sentme_mail,
Implement this tweak
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/4/>http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/4/</a>
Then create a new share and affix a $ sign at the end of the share name. This action will hide the share from basic users.

I'm not sure I understand the reasoning for changing the admin shares on the clients. Basic users don't have the proper permissions to access those shares by default.

if i have authenticated users added to the local admin group of the desktops, will this allow any user to be able to connect to any administrative shares on other computers?

Not unless they are members of the Domain Administrators group. Could you please test on your end to verify?
