On startup of Win95 PC the Windows Welcome screen is apperaring and there is no CheckBox available to switch the setting in the registery..
Any ideas on how ot manually stop this screen from showing at startup//
the PC works fine otherwise..

It's been so darn long since I dealt with this... Hopefully someone can post the right answer if I steer you wrong:
C:\windows\welcome.exe executes the welcome screen so try the following:
1. See if there's a shortcut to welcome.exe in your startup folder and delete if so.
2. Open the registry and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\
Look in the subkeys for Run, RunOnce, RunOnceEx, RunServices, and RunServicesOnce for a reference to that welcome.exe file and delete the reference.
3. I'd be surprised if one of the 2 above don't do it, but if not, try opening your win.ini and system.ini files and looking for a reference to welcome.exe

If that doesn't work, just delete welcome.exe.
