Has anyone run into this problem? If you double-click on the vertical bar on the left of the quick launch toolbar icons the toolbar will slide right, if you double click on it again it will not go back to the original position on the taskbar which is far left. Does anyone know how to cure this? I want to get the quick launch back to the far left of the taskbar but somehow its no go. It goes as far as 1-1/2 inches from the far left and stays there.

I searched microsoft for this answer but found nothing, i remember when ie4 first came out i double clicked on that area and had to reinstall to get the bar back in the correct position. But now i am dealing with users desktops and creating packages to install everything, lo and behold after the package has run the quicklaunch is not there, and when i add it in from add quick launch toolbar it appears to the right of the taskbar, i need to get it to the original position (far left).

Any help on this will be great, i know lots of people have to have experienced this before.

Thanks.

There is no cure. It's supposed to be helpful, at least Microsoft thought so.

Just right-click to hide Quicklaunch toolbar, then re-enable.

Or have a couple windows open, then slide the bar furthest left all the way to the right, it will ride over the Quicklaunch bar and it will now be on the left.

I had tried this before i posted the question and it did not work, but after trying it again i accidently stumbled onto the solution. I am going to post the soultion in case i forget and i need to do a search for the problem again (you never know).

When the quick launch appears on the right of the screen, you will want to place the mouse pointer between ie explorer and the vertical bar, then click... the pointer will turn into a four sided arrow, when this happens you will keep holding down the button and move the quick launch all the way to the left until its back in the original position. It may take a second or two for the quick launch to actually move..

But thats the solution.
