Damned Windows!! Need help!!

You know how most of the blasted windows programs have c:\windows\personal as the default directory to save to and open from... is there any way to change this??

I'm tired of having to scroll and scroll to get the folder i want...

Word 97: Tools/Options/File Locations. I believe the other applications have similar options you can set. Good luck!

You might try navigating to:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Cur rentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

right-click on Personal, Choose Modify

Then change the value data to the path you want.
