For some reason I can't change the Internet Options page or use the Reset Web Setting Button, in IE6. It keeps telling me its unable to do it. I have no idea why. I want to change my mail client to hotmail, but its still stuck on Outlook. Every time I select hotmail and apply the changes, it seems OK but when I go back its still on Outlook. I suspect a permissions problem, but I don't know what key. Can anyone help?

Try using the "Set program access and defaults" option. Control panel, add remove programs. It may override IE settings. Also in Add remove programs, if you select Microsoft IE 6, and then select Change remove you will get a repair option.

Hey many thanks for your help. Unfortunately neither idea worked. To get around the problem I gave my user temp Admin rights, reset the option and then removed the admin rights. At least I think this proves it was a permissions thing, but I still don't know what key is corrupt. Thanks again
