a wierd thing has happened to me, i've accessed a website, and since accessing this website, (ironically, a form for getting off spam email, suppose it serves me right clicking on it instead of just deleting it) my browser has assumed that i live in japan (ie, when i try to load www.google.com i get www.google.co.jp ) and because i haven't got any japanese/chinese languages installed, the text is coming out as square boxes.

Now i've tried accessing the "Languages" setting in internet options, and it's still set to the default English (United Kingdom)[en-gb] value, and the "Regional settings" in control panel still say that i'm in the UK. I shouldn't think that anything outside Internet Explorer is causing the problem, seeing as AOL (yes, i'm on aol sadly enough) browser still loads www.google.com sucessfully.

Anybody come across this problem? Anybody know how to change my country back to the UK?

Ironically, i have previously been interested in changing my settings to confuse internet explorer that i am living in america, rather than the uk, so if anybody could give information on both languages, that would be very helpful. :)
