hi all,

I have Windows 2000 server version on my pc in my network where 20 systems will login under this domain. Recently, one of my collegue who is not having much familiarity with win 2000 worked on my server and he opened the administrative tools with the option of open with and there he checked the box of "Always use this program to open" and he selected that particular file to open wit MS Word. Since then all my administrative tools r opening in word where i was unable to modify any changes.. my system is working fine but it doesnt allowing me to make changes to the users through administrative tools. So could anyone of u plz help me to how again i can reopened them as before other than opening in MS Word.? The help will be appriciated gr8ly... thanks alot....waiting eagerly for the quick response...

If you right click on each item and select properties you should be able to change what they open with in the general tab. This works on XP but it shouldbe the same in W2K.

Try browse and navigate to C:\winnt\system32\mmc.exe.
