Hello Group,

I hope someone is able to help me with this one. I have found difficulty loading altering the Home Page settings in the registry edit.
At first I was using win guides tweak manager, but some of my computers will not upload Winguide Tweak Manager so I opted for the manual setting in the RegEdit, however although I followed through the path suggestd on this website: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Inte rnet Explorer\Control Panel]
I found that on some of my office machines that when I reached the file MICROSOFT there was no INTERNET EXPLORER to be found.
Does anyone hae any suggestions on how I can get around this problem, I still want to make the alteration to the Home Page, but cannot find the file path in either the HKEY_CURRENT_USER or the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
It has been suggested that I Export the Registry Edit, but I am unsure how to do this and if it is safe or not to use on computers attached to existing networks?

Please give me your views and suggestions,

Thanks,

Neil

First back up your registry, then:
Right click on the Microsoft folder and select New, Key, the type in Internet Explorer. Then right click on the Internet Explorer folder and create a new key for Control Panel. Now right click in the left hand pane to create your entry in the Control Panel folder.
