HELP!!!
It seems my networks have ghosts in the machinery at the moment. Very wierd one this. One of the networks I maintain has an NT server domain with Win98 clients. Recently one or two clients have been working on any machines, saving work and then logging off. When they return all the recent work has disappeared. In some cases all the contents of the My Docs folder has gone.
The strangest case which has got me totally baffled was this.
I logged on a workstation as user x while watching his home folder on the server. I created a new folder and deleted an old folder and saw it happen on the server. As soon as user x logged off the old folder reappeared and the new one disappeared???
I have removed his profiles from the workstations, in case the local one was over writing his server one. In the end I had to create him a new user.
Any ideas?
