Is it possible to have a resolution between 800X600 and 1024X768

Either by buying a special video card or editing the registry, or anyway anything will do.

Firstly, why would you need a special setting? I have never seen any need for anything other than the default modes and therefore have never looked into it any further. The aspect ratio for the resolution should be 4:3 and most monitors and video cards are designed to support the default modes.

If you can tell us what you need it for then I may be able to look into it further.
