Hi there
Does anyone know if there is a setting in windows NT4 (server) that would stop windows 9x and dos clients connecting to its network shares but still allow NT/2000/XP clients to connect? Basically I work for a school and last week one of our IT rooms (running 98) started hanging after logging on when running the logon script that maps a few drives to one of the NT servers. (Yes, ALL the computers) Its not a problem with the network as my laptop (win 2000) plugged in in the same room works fine - its almost like the NT server has decided that non NT clients are not good enough for it... The odd thing though, is that they need to authenticate with the server (as the PDC) to logon, its just when trying to map network drives?! any ideas?
Thanks
Rob
