View Full Version : Sending mail from web page links (WXP-Home)

I can send mail directly from OE 6.0 but not from a link in a web page. Error message reads "Problem with shortcut. Cannot send mail. No mail proigram is set up to send mail using Internet shortcuts." In IE 6.0 tools>options >programs there is no selection available for choosing Mail Program although Newsgroup has Outlook Express designated.

The second option from the top in Programs should read E-mail. If you don't have this selection there is a little corruption going on. /images/forums/icons/smile.gif

Start &gt; run
Type "C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg
followed by OK

Where outlook express is on C:\

This may cover the same thing DanK sent you, but just in case: <a target="_blank" href=http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/faqs/why.htm#oe6attach>InsideOE</a> looks like it has the fix your need to configure OE to respond to web page links ... 7th FAQ from the top.
