Netscape 7.0 default mail application (WXP-Pro)

Hi. I am running IE 6.0.2 and no matter how many times I select Netscape 7.0 as my default mail application, it will always bring up the user profile manager of netscape 4.72

**I share some mail settings with other machines who insist on keeping 4.72 cause their bank's websites don't support 7.0 yet. Tell them to use IE all you want, they don't listen :)

Would appreciate any help given. Thanks.

There's a critical update (810565) that is supposed to fix a number of problems when using browsers other than Internet Explorer.

If you haven't yet downloaded it, give it a try and see if it helps.

I'll look into it, but I am using IE, I just am not using outlook express for the mail. Same scenario?

I'm sorry, I missed the bit about you only using Netscape's e-mail client. Not sure if that critical update will fix your situation. But, it won't hurt to give it a try. If you opt at a later date to use another browser you'll have the update in place.

As an after thought, did you de-select OE as your default email client? (Tools &gt; Options &gt; General)
