I have managed to delete the isp entry in internet explorer located in the dial-up settings window of the connections tab of internet options.
This does not cause me a problem accessing the net as i use aol to log on, however i need the setting present in order to allow another windows program to access the web at its own leisure.
Please help, can i reinstall this setting manually or do i have to reinstall aol??
They really were not much help at all.

Although I haven't tried this..

Go to the AOL setup (dialup phone numbers) at the sign in screen. Notate a dialup number.

Go to the network setup wizard in XP and create a manual dialup connection.
