CD-RW (W98)

I have a CD-RW CD that I've put data on, and it works with every computer I've been to except one. On this particular one, it won't open the CD. It always says that the drive isn't ready. I've installed Adaptec UDF reader, and it should work because I have used the exact same CD on this computer before. What else could be wrong?

Hiya Dude!!

The UDF packet writer (Adaptec or Nero) doesn't necessarily work on all systems, if it's vital that the data is transfered then I suggest that you burn the data to a regular CDRW or CDR.

UDF is fine for backing up stuff from one's own PC , not entirely reliable in transfering it to others....
