TCP/IP... HELP!! (WXP)

Now I'm really screwing things up. I uninstalled TCP/IP to try and re-install it, but now it won't re-install. I get a "non-recoverable error occured during a datbase lookup" error. Some one please help!

You may have to remove it the protocol again, and take out the network card. Do a clean boot
then if you have no error message. Put the nic card back and let it do its plug and play(pray) and hopefully it will install it.

You can't, although you can reset it.
