Vcache (WME)

Could someone advise me on what i should set the MaxFileCache and MinFileCache settings to under the VCache section of the system.ini file.

Some places say 1/8 of memory as the minimum and 1/4 as the maximum while others say something different.

I have 640MB of memory installed so if anyone can recommened any settings i would be grateful.

it totally depends on what you mainly use the machine for. vcache has a cost, so making it too bigger than you need is not useful.

vcache is not the swapfile.

Set them to

MinFileCache=2048
MaxFileCache=2048
