hello, my niece recently installed Win 98 onto her pc, things went well, then recently that "no os found" came up over a black background. so i tried many reboots, as well as complete power switch offs, and i'd say 1 in 30 attempts worked. it's so tiring coz she running on only 64 Mb ram, and takes forever. i feel so useless coz i'm a duh! with pc's and the poor girl needs the Net for her school projects. can anyone please guide us out of the darkness?

The amount of RAM at the beginning of the problem is immaterial.
Sounds more like the hard drive is failing.
Can you boot to a Win98 boot/startup disk? If so, at the A: prompt you might try the command sys c:. That should at least get the hard drive bootable.
