HiYa ALL ! I`ve been for days now trying to get puter to AUTO LOGON (no password popup) ! Tried all suggestions -Delete *.pwl / Delete all lines under passwords in sys .ini / Control>Network choose "Windows Logon" / Registry binary valu insert REalmode net >Autologon = 01 00 00 00 Now did all these steps only thing seems out of place is NETWORK TCP/IP Properties under "bindings" theres only one line checked + present "Microsoft Family Logon" ! My primary network is WINDOWS LOGON . Is this a conflict + how do i add Windows Logon into bindings? Also every time i double clik to go to network from Control Panel a popup appears saying " My Network is not complete.Do you want to continue? " Hope i`ve made some sense ? Any help in this matter would be great !!! Thanx Dean :) P.S. Info- Win98se,Pent.3,IE6

reg edits, ini edits, ptotocol bindings - all such stuff is way over-complicating things.
In order to avoid the windows login all you need to satisfy is..
1. primary login is windows login. (or see a. below).
2. configured for only single user.
3. blank password.

a. if you are on a network then primary login is network but passwords are set to synchronise using control panel applet.

to achieve :
1. you know that already.
2. remove family logon. and in control panel set for all users use same settings.
3. either use control panel applet to change password ...to blank, or logout and back in but this time press escape at the login box. then find your pwl and delete. logoff and when you get the login box press enter leaving password blank. you won't get asked again. the problem with the pwl solution is loss of other passwords in the file.
