Hey All ! Thank you 4 ur quick response Bert ! Think ur right about 2 stik 256mb theory. I only have 2 slots for 2stiks of ram. I tried pulling out 256mb stik + left 512 in the result is black screen with blinking white dot on upper left side .Nothing ,no response just black screen! I`ve got acer/ali motherboard - cheap P3 /800mhz . You think 512mb ram no good or what ? Tried both slots for position of 512 stik. To no avail-no response ! But when i "add" the 256 stik puter works and registers in sysinfo as 512mb ram being installed. Hope i dont have go 2 local shop. Thanx Y`all ! Dean :)
