I am new to computers, so bare with me! My computer will start skipping or freezing then be fine for a couple of seconds and then stop again, this goes on continuously until I restart it, then it is fine for 2 or 3 hours and it will start again. This happens no matter what I'm doing on it. When I'm on the internet and when I'm not. If I leave the computer on at night, when I come back to it I have to restart before I can use it because of this. I tried to use system restore but it didn't go back far enough. Christmas day I had a friend install an internal CD Burner for me with it's program, and I installed a USB 2-port PCI Card for a digital cameras USB cable and inatalled the software for this camera. I'm not sure when this problem started because I'm not the only one who uses this computer but I didn't have this problem before these things were installed. I re installed the software but that didn't do anything. When I checked the system information, under Problem Devices there were three things listed:
Epson Stylus color600 ID-LPTENUM\Epson Stlus...
Error code 28

IRQ Holder for PCI steering ID-PCI\IRQHolder\ 03
Error code 22

IrQ Holder for PCI Sterring PCI\IRQ Holder\04
Error code 22

I don't know what to do about these errors. I can't find anything that tells me what to do if I find these errors, it only tells me to look there to see if there are any conflicts. It looks as if something isn't right, but I don't know how to fix it.

When the USB port was installed it wasn't working at first so it was moved to another place and we found out it would not work there, we just didn't have the card pushed all the way in the first time. Everything has been working fine it's just that every couple of hours it starts to freeze on and off but once you restart it's fine for a while. I wonder if we did something wrong when we installed the card.

Ihope someone out there can help me, Im ready to throw this computer away!

This is a link to a post on this forum, which maybe helps explain the solution
