What Cab file is Setup located in (W98)

My (OEM) 98SE pc came with a restore CD which will wipe my entire contents off my hard drive if I use it(which I don't want to do), BUT I do have all the cab files necessary, EXCEPT for the setup file to activate reinstalling the OS. I got the SETUP file, which is only 6KB from another person's 98SE pc but the setup file will not work. I think I need to put it in the correct cab file to make it work, is this correct?? Anyway will someone check their setup file in their cab files and let me know what size your setup file is and what cab file the setup file is located in?

Setup.exe is not in a cab file. Here is a list of the files in the win98 dir from the Win98 CD. I think you wouldn't need the tour and ols directories.win98\

Could you send me the setup.exe file, and what size is your setup file? I wonder why I can't get the setup.exe file to work? Also thanks for the list of files

You don't have an email that I can send to. Setup.exe is 3.75 kb
It needs to be located in a directory that contains the directory named win98 with all the files listed within. I am not sure that you will be able to do what you want but, nothing ventured nothing gained
