Hi
Go to tools > internet options > settings and view objects I have two java plugins r/click Go properties
on the version tab both are listed as for netscape.
I have IE 6 sp1 that is currently updated and a walmart conection the browser is version 6 of copuserve2000 or simalir -same thing walmart just leased the rights or somthing here if I go help and about with that browser -
wal-mart connect ver 6.0>
revision 4097.12 (32bit)
copyright america online>

So im thinking that the dowload of sunjava missidentified ie becouse of the wmconnect browser and installed the wrong plugins.
I know if i go control pane sunjava it will let me use
a pligin for ie or netscape -But that doent explain why the version lists as both for netscape ?

Sorry for the loonngg question---Thanks

Sun Microsystems recently sued MS to have the right to install it's Java on MS systems. MS just won a stay in the court of appeals. MS stated that it's own Java and Sun's may not interoperate correctly (This may be the problem you're experiencing). MS may be offering an uninstall program for it's own proprietary Java pending the final outcome of the lawsuit.

Typing 'jview' (without the '') at a DOS prompt works well for the MS VM

>>Don't listen to me 'cos I'm stupid!! <<
I'd disagree with that--I had'nt known that--I did know with dos prompt type (java - version) But this points to the pluhin for sunjava even though right now im using msjava --people can go to this site to verify wicth version of msjava is being used

http://www.visualware.com/support/javasupport.html

-or do it the old fashend way's doing a search for msjava.dll and properties to the version tab But niether of these oproches satisfies me as to exactly wicth one is running --since i do change things time to time ,.

anyway please check the version tab on the plugin like I descibed earlyer ?

Thanks
