Hello. This is my first post, so please be gentle :-) I purchased Spyware doctor online, but every time I try to run smart update, it gives me an error. I tried everything that the answer page says, about disabling firewalls and antivirus and such. I tried calling the phone number for support but have neber been able to connect. Still, I've had no luck. Is there any other way to update the definitions? Any and all help will be most appreciated. Thx in advance

What is the exact error message that you are getting?

I would also suggest you to download the latest version of Spyware Doctor available at: http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/download/

Hiya. Exeption message on report says "Cannot open AVI" I downloaded the most recent Spyware doctor, bit it still does the same thing. Thx

This is very discouraging for future problems.(hopefully there will be none)
The support thro' messaging is very slow as well, I've found.
But when it is eventually answered, it's very good.

Still not working, and still no contact from e-mail support. Couldn't get through to the support phone number either. Anyone else having this problem?

Hey Bvrodz,

I suggest you to send the exception report to PCTools. There should be a button in the exception report dialog box to send the report.

I'm sure they'll be looking at it and fixing the problem soon.
