I have worked with Windows 98 before, but I'm new to having it installed on my own home computer.

Can anyone recommend a utility that can fix/prevent directory damage on my Windows 98 disk?

On the Macintosh (the other OS I'm familiar with), there is a utility that regularly rebuilds the directory structure to ensure everything is in order and that problems are fixed before they mushroom into directory damage. It also rescues data if there is damage. Is there something similar for Windows?

I know Windows 98 comes with Scandisk but I'm wondering if that is robust enough.
