location of where to save an image (W2K)

can someone please tell me what i have to do to set a default location for when i right click on a picture and say save picture as

I've found that after a couple of downloads, IE will remember to open to the same folder as was last used but haven't found any way to make a particular folder the default.

Hi matanle,

Fire up regedit.
Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

Look in the right hand pane for a string value called My Pictures, if its not there, create it.
Give it a value of your preferred image download directory
