Hi all, I've been reading forums right and left trying to make sene of this networking mumbo jumbo with no luck, I've tried various methods, installing netbueui (which I didn't know how to use) NWlink(didn't know how to use), Specifiy ip address(disabled firewalls, didn't notice any change, same stupid media disconnected messege in wxp ipconfig prompt) the dreaded WXP ICS connection wizard(didn't do crap for me), and I was wondering if ANY of you had a solution to my networking fiasco, see I run two boxes, a Winxp pro box, and a recently aquired win98se junkerbox, They both have NIC's installed and the drivers ARE updated, I'm connecting them with a 25 foot cat5 belkin crossover cable. but here's where the tricky part is, my modem is a motorola sb4200 cable modem and I'm using its USB connnection to my winxp box since the ethernet jack is being used up by the crossovercable that I'm trying to use to link to the junkbox, if anyone has ANY suggestions on my delima, I'd be greatly appriciative, and the firewall I mentioned was NPF2k3, if that matters at all, if anyone is familiar with any of this, please post a response, I will be as cooperative as I can when it comes to returning information that you may need to fix my problem.
