Spyware Doctor will not start

Hi,

Spyware doctor will not start. It worked fine since I got it. Now it does not appear in the tray and will not start up from the start menu. I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling but still the same problem. Any ideas?

Double click Spyware Doctor's icon from the desktop, press and hold CTRL+Shift+Esc -> go to Processes TAB, can you see swdoctor.exe in the list?

Make sure you do not have other internet security softwares blocking Spyware Doctor's .exe files. If they did block Spyware Doctor's process, please allow the file: swdoctor.exe and update.exe into the whitelist / ignore list.

Finally try to download the latest build of Spyware Doctor installation file from www.pctools.com and then reinstall using this installation file.

Thanks for responding. swdoctor.exe is not in the process list. sdhelp.exe. is though. Its not blocked by any other software. It has worked fine since I purchased it but now this. I have downloaded the latest version and installed it still the same.
Any ideas anyone??

If sdhelp.exe is in the process list and swdoctor.exe is not, this means spyware doctor is not active on your computer. The sdhelp.exe allows you to open Spyware Doctor, however, if you try double clicking on the icon, does SD open?

If not try uninstalling/reinstalling SD.
