I'm running a simple home network with XP host machine connected to a static IP internet DSL. I have a XPpro machine connected for file sharing/printer and Win98 laptop for internet access - all three connected via a hub. When I run the network wizard for ICS everything works fine and the 98 laptop can access internet through the XP host machine fine. If I restart the XP host then the 98 laptop losses its connection and I must run the network wizard again. Actually, I always have to run it twice because it fails the first time.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how to avoid running the network wizard each time the internet server computer is restarted. Thanks.

Don't use ICS. Use "Set up home network" in Network Places.
.....
My problem is I have the wifi laptop & PC to a Netgear router, internet no problem. I can't share files though the two can see each other.
Laptop : XP Home
PC: XP Pro
