Removing splash screen from OE v5

I'm going out of my mind trying to add a value that would disable that damn screen. I followed the fdirections in regedit to no avail. I'm running 98 SE and my OE is version 5. Has anyone successfully removed the screen when opening OE? If so, please let me know. Thank you.

uses a different place to store its preferences: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Identities. There's one or more CLSID values underneath. Choose the one that says, when selected, 'main identity' on the right.
Expand to Software\ Microsoft\ Outlook Express\ 5.0. Try again there - worked for me.
